About the Puerto Rico Science, Technology and Research Trust
Established in 2004 under Public Law 214 as an autonomous entity, the Puerto Rico Science, Technology and Research Trust stimulates innovation, technology commercialization and the creation of high-tech jobs in specific industrial sectors of Puerto Rico, such as: Life Sciences, Alternative Energy, Environment & Agricultural Sciences, Computer Science and Information Technologies, Medical Devices and Aerospace and Aeronautics, among others.
Under the umbrella of the PRSTRT, PRCCI establishes Puerto Rico as a globally recognized clinical research center. PRCCI is synonymous with patient access and effectiveness in the execution of clinical trials of unparalleled quality.
PRSTRT and PRCCI aim to continue establishing world-class research capabilities in Puerto Rico, as part of the City of Sciences in San Juan, and position Puerto Rico as a “Bio-Island.”
