Dr. Amarilys Silva, Pharm. D
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) with diverse experience working in Healthcare and global exposure in the Pharmaceutical Industry in the areas of Research, Medical Affairs, Global Product Safety/Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs. Dr. Silva holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico, School of Pharmacy, and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida, Gainesville. Proficient in multiple Therapeutic Areas, Academic partnerships, Compliance, GxPs, Auditing (FDA, EMEA, etc.) along with strong managerial and clinical experience.
Dr. Silva is recognized as a leader in Clinical Research by the Puerto Rico medical community, Academia, government institutions, and pharmaceutical industry. She is also recognized as a partner of excellence and has developed relationships of mutual trust and respect with many internal and external stakeholders in US and Puerto Rico. Dr. Silva is passionate about diversity and inclusion. She is focused on innovation to help improve patient outcomes.

Wilfredo E. De Jesus-Monge, MD, MSc
He earned his MD in 2004 and an MSc in Clinical Research in 2007 from the University of Puerto Rico, followed by a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at UMass Medical School in 2012.
Dr. De Jesus-Monge has held nearly every role in site study operations, including Clinical Research Coordinator, Blinded rater, Chair, Director, Chief, Sub-Investigator, and Principal Investigator.
He is a respected academician, research mentor, and national-level speaker, and has received numerous awards. He was the 2023 Gold Clinical Researcher (Coordinator) of the Year awarded by PharmaTimes Magazine. His successful grant writing has secured competitive funding for prestigious organizations such as the American Cancer Society and St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
Nationally recognized for his innovative research, Dr. De Jesus-Monge served as a judge for the 2023 Fierce Innovation Awards and was a 2023 finalist at the WCG Innovation Challenge-East.
He presented at the 2023 Society for Clinical Research Sites’ Global Oncology Site Solutions Summit and was honored with the 2012 TEN Award for Innovative Research by Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology News at the BIO International Convention. He has also received training in clinical research innovation and entrepreneurship from the 2024 Bizy Academy (YEES! and University of Notre Dame) and the 2023 Fase1 Intensive (Puerto Rico Science, Technology, and Research Trust).
Currently, Dr. De Jesus-Monge is an Assistant Research Professor (ad honorem) at San Juan Bautista School of Medicine and serves as the Clinical Research Director at PRCCI, where he plays a pivotal role in developing the Clinical Research Center, mentoring staff, participating in projects, and contributing to the education and training of personnel and new investigators.

Dayanara Belén, JD, MPH
A product of the University of Puerto Rico, Dayanara excelled academically and garnered hands-on experience as a lead coordinator in clinical research. Her educational foundation is complemented by practical experience across various therapeutic areas in pediatric and adult populations, underscoring her versatility in clinical research.
Dayanara’s impact transcends the boundaries of her role as a lead coordinator. She played a crucial part in spearheading COVID-19 surveillance efforts at the municipality level during the pandemic, showcasing her unwavering commitment to public health. Additionally, her noteworthy contributions to the HIV Surveillance Program at the Puerto Rico Department of Health exemplify her dedication to advancing public health initiatives.
She was appointed as the Strategic Business Development Lead for the new PRCCI Clinical Research Center, bringing her wealth of expertise to the forefront of this new initiative.
Beyond her professional achievements, Dayanara actively engages in community activities, aligning with her commitment to community well-being. Renowned for her charismatic leadership, effective public speaking, and unwavering professionalism, she is fervently dedicated to advancing healthcare solutions and fostering community inclusion.
Dayanara emerges as a catalyst for positive change, leading the way towards a brighter and more equitable future in clinical research for Puerto Rico.

Nicolas Rosario-Matos, MD, MSc, MTh
Throughout his career, Dr. Rosario has collaborated on numerous clinical trials funded by the NIH, pharmaceutical industry and other research networks, and he has co-authored multiple publications on pediatric health outcomes. His work has contributed to understanding how prenatal exposure to events like Hurricane Maria affects infant microbiomes. Dr. Rosario is committed to improving health outcomes, particularly in populations impacted by social and environmental challenges.
